Nesim Fintz, General Director and Founder

Being an Eistien is to share the life of a Computer Technology and Mathematics Engineering School where three classes of Student Engineers and integrated preparatory classes rub elbows and combine their values knowledge and activities. Our charter - Ethics, Solidarity; Professionalism, Openness - promotes personal development and professional well-being. The personalised support and follow-up of each student by the teaching staff and administration helps to fulfil this goal. Nobody is left behind. Being an Eistien is a way of being and acting which surpasses professional competencies. It is earning freedom. Freedom to chose. Freedom to chose a career path. Freedom in the strength of the mind.

Diversity, cohesion, passion

By encouraging openness and intellectual curiosity, our diversity generates absolute tolerance. This is one of our founding requirements: each person has their place with us, they need only to work and to have the will to succeed. Nobody needs to be left out in the cold because of a question of money. For this reason we have many students with scholarships studying with us.

Acquire knowledge to begin ones journey

The future engineer must master technological evolution and the company infrastructure while remaining curious. To meet this goal the school combines the teaching of Computer Technology with that of Mathematics, Management and Social Studies. The acquisition of this knowledge is done in small groups and the curriculum is built around group projects. The engineering cycle is regularly updated. As early as the second year, students can choose one of the two specialties Computer Engineering or Mathematical Engineering which concludes with one of 10 options in third year, which are in sync with the evolution of knowledge, markets and the demands of our future graduates.

Teaching and anticipating

Our 52 permanent Professors supported by 110 specialized professors keep a watchful eye on the evolution of knowledge. The teachers are enriched by technological and scientific innovations as vital parts of today’s market. Research, management and internships respond to these demands. The teaching is supported by research, and EISTI devotes important resources to its accredited laboratories. Our student-engineers actively participate in its activities.

Thanks to our partnerships with Universities (Cergy-Pontoise, Paris Dauphine, Paris Orsay, Paris Villetaneuse, Pau et Pays de l’Adour) and Management Schools (Grenoble Ecole Management, Institut d’Administration des Entreprises, Euromed Marseille, ESSEC Cergy), our student are able to work towards a double diploma. Working together, we are able to ensure that each student has a prosperous future.

International relations everyday

Globalisation is assumed voluntarily and pragmatically. This openness is an asset. International relations one is our constant. There are four reasons for this: the diversity of our professors and our pupils (15 % are foreign); our agreements with the foreign universities (the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, Vietnam, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Italy); the performance of our language laboratories; the increase in training courses abroad. Most Eistiens will have acquired international experience during their course through training courses, continuation of studies etc… 20% of our alumni work abroad. They form an invaluable network and relay and tremendous examples. Our multicultural vocation supports the emergence of talents conscious of importance of international competition. This richness is worth all the passports and authorizes all audacities.

Pau - growing fast

EISTI has two campuses, in Cergy and Pau. They confer the same diploma. An Eistien can choose where to study and change campuses at any time. E-learning and visio-conferencing ensure consistency. Created in 2003, the campus in Pau conferred its first diplomas in October 2007. Every Engineer found full-time employment.

Reaching towards excellence without arrogance

  • Our affiliation with SUPMECA, a public ‘Grande Ecole) is successful in diversifying the education of our Student-Engineers via new courses, research, joint teaching activities. This relationship leaves us open to unlimited possibilities, while respecting our uniqueness.
  • Our successful integration with the « Concours Communs Polytechniques » ensures a qualified recruitment which is appreciated by professors, university partners and professionals alike. Each day we work hard for teaching excellence, to quench our students thirst for knowledge.
  • More and more young women are entering our school. These women have found their place with us whether it is in informatics, data processing or financial engineering sectors.
  • As a founding member of « Pôle de Recherche et d’Enseignement Supérieur », (PRES) of Cergy-Pontoise/Val d’Oise and « Pôles d Compétitivité nationaux« (As’Tech, Cap Digital, System@Tic) mobilizes our means and reinforces our alliances to build a scientific and teaching environment able to take up the challenges with which teaching in France is confronted today.
  • This advance is regularly honoured by our excellent classification within the Top 20 of French Engineering Schools, in Challenges as well as in Express/L' Etudiant.

Thus the EISTI pursues a constant goal: to train men and women who are free, daring, talented and open to the world and others. Beings who are at the same time engineers and ingenious. A force which can only go forward.
