Admission to the Pre-engineering cycle

Bac S (Scientific Baccalaureat): 150 spots – Integrated Preparatory Classes (CPI)
Students are admitted by application and interview. We only accept students who graduate with honors. Obtaining, in parallel with Universities of Cergy and Pau, a Bachelor of Science Degree (L2) in Mathematics and Computer Science

Admission Interview
Length: 20 minutes
Jury: 2 Professors from EISTI
The interview allows us to identify your motivation and aspirations. It is possible for us to determine whether EISTI will help you to accomplish you ambitions and if your profile fits with our school’s philosophy.

Advantages of the Pre-Engineering Cycle

• Admission in a “Grande Ecole” recruited in CPGE by the “Concours Communs Polytechnique”
• Continuous assessment instead of the stress of the CPGE entrance examinations.
• Automatic registration in year one and then year two of the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science at either the University of Cergy Pontoise (95) or the University of Pau and the Pays de l’Adour (64). It allows students for a reorientation in the third year (1st year of the engineering cycle) of the program if necessary.

Class size
30-35 students per class. These students then represent 35% of the student population in the Engineering Cycle.

Languages
We require that the students spend one month in a foreign country during their vacation. At the end of the Engineering Cycle, the Diploma is only awarded to the students who obtain a score of 750 on an official TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication)

Repeating during the pre-engineering cycle
In the first year of the pre-engineering cycle (CPI1) the rate of repeating is 8.6% and in the second year (CPI2) is 4%.
