THE EISTI CERTIFIED BY THE ISO 9001 NORM IN CERGY … AND IN PAU!
Certified by the AFNOR (French association of ‘norms’) on the Cergy campus in 2010, the EISTI has now had the campus in Pau certified successfully in 2012. A mark of excellence and coherence.
Certified since 2010 in Cergy
In 2010, the EISTI on the Cergy campus was awarded the Certification ISO 9001 delivered by the AFNOR (French association of ‘norms’). The school joined the elite group of further education establishments holding this certification on a global stage. The audit is based on the processes and methodologies which allow us to optimize the education provided at the school, rather than on the pedagogical and scientific qualifications of our teachers and curriculum, as that is already analyzed and certified every 6 years by the CTI (the Commission of Engineering Titles).
International Guarantee
According to Nesim FINTZ, the Dean of the EISTI, "this audit allows us to formalize our processes, and to find our strong points as well as any weaknesses … pedagogical processes, as well as research, logistics, information systems, communication etc. This certification qualifies our know-how and reinforces the reliability and notoriety of the school. This encourages students, French and from abroad, to join us in order to make the most of an education which, as well as its pedagogical qualities confirmed by the CTI, also provides guarantees of excellence, recognized by the AFNOR.
Annual Checks
The certification is validated every year by an expert from the AFNOR, who verifies that everything is still in place, working as well as possible. The heads of service are invited to show the improvements made in their processes and work methodologies, helped by Stéphanie Guerin, Head of Quality at the school. For Hervé de Milleville, Director of Studies at the EISTI, the fact that the checks are regular "is indispensable. We cannot rest on our laurels: we must permanently aim for excellence. The fact of ‘outsiders’ coming in to evaluate us helps to reveal areas which still need working on, just as they offer improvements and encourage all progress made from one year to the next, based on ever-more demanding criteria. It helps to motivate us."
Pau’s campus certified in 2012
As the EISTI has two campuses, one in Cergy and one in Pau, it was logical to proceed for an audit of the campus in Pau. This happened in January 2012: the administrative and pedagogical teams were successfully audited by an expert from the AFNOR. According to Laurence Lamoulie, Campus Director in Pau, "this audit reinforces the coherence of our two campuses and assures an increased homogeneity of our methods and work processes. This also increases the confidence that our public and private partners have in us, who know that they can count on the school’s regularly-verified seriousness."
