AN EISTIEN COMES FIRST IN MASEF AT PARIS DAUPHINE + EISTI
After having taken the option of Financial Engineering, lead by Erik Taflin in Cergy, Yalcin Aktar, 25 years old, is now the best-ranking student of MASEF (to do with writing shareware and freeware) of the University of Paris-Daphine, where he has just finished his university studies, which he followed during his third year at the EISTI, with brilliance.
A student at the EISTI since 2008, after doing his preparatory classes in maths and physics, Yalcin wanted to undertake this double degree in order to obtain his own longstanding objective: to become a teaching-researcher.
Incredibly talented in finance-applied mathematics, our Eistien plans to go to the Ecole Polytechnique, where he will undertake a doctorate in portfolio management, under the lead of Erik Taflin (from the EISTI) and Nizar Touzi (from the Ecole Polytechnique).
Yalcin encourages all Eistiens to "try the MASEF, because it’s an excellent Masters for research in finance, lead by remarkable teachers who are famous in their specific domains". His advice? "To try it without fear or assumptions. Each year, the EISTI enables two or three students to join this very popular degree course. There should be, in my opinion, and considering the level of our school, the possibility of increasing this. The only absolute ‘musts’ in order to succeed: motivation and hard work." Who will follow in the footsteps of our exemplary Eistien next year?!
