History of the EISTI : the main dates

1983

  • The EISTI (Ecole Internationale des Sciences du Traitement de l’Information) opened its doors on the Cergy site

1989

  • Recognition by the state as a charitable private technical higher education establishment
  • The school’s charter: Ethics, Solidarity, Openness, Professionalism

1992

  • Authorization to deliver an engineering degree and titles, awarded by the CTI (commission for the title of Engineers)

2002

  • Membership of the Conference of ‘Grandes Ecoles’ (CGE) and the Conference of Directors of French Engineering Schools (CDEFI)

2003

  • Opening of the second campus in Pau
  • Creation of preparatory classes for holders of a baccalaureate scientifique

2006

  • Ministerial unification with the SUPMECA
  • Admission to the Concours Communs
    Polytechniques 

2007

  • Founding member of the Research and Higher Education Centre at the University of Cergy
  • Engineering degree authorization renewed for 6 years by CTI, until 2013

2008

  • Creation of the ‘chaires d’entreprises’, chairs or professorships sponsored by businesses. Up to now, 5 of these chairs exist: ALTI, BT, CAP GEMINI, SOGETI, SOPRA
  • Integration of the 5 centres of competitiveness: As’Tech, System@TIC, Cap Digital, Aero Space Valley and Moveo

2009

  • Opening of the 3rd building in Cergy
  • Authorization from the CTI to give two engineering degrees: in Computer Science and Mathematics

2010

  • Certification ISO 9001
  • Creation of the Ile-de-France Collegium with the ENSEA and SUPMECA
  • Construction begins on the new campus in Pau (opening in 2011)
  • Certification for the Voltaire Project

2011

  • New campus in Pau

2012

  • Creation of the Master’s Degree in Quantitative Finance and Risk Management
