Interships

Business forum
Better self-knowledge leads to better-made choices Our internship policy meets the needs of recruiters just as much as those of our students: 42 weeks during the whole engineering curriculum (20 weeks in 2nd year and 22 weeks in 3rd year).
Internships and work experience encourage our students to take the initiative, and teach them how to be professional. Solidarity between the different school-years plays a big role in this quest. The group of former students (Cercle des Anciens) and its network get very involved. Teachers are of course aware of the students’ characteristics and suitability for different companies, projects and areas of employment, and advise students on their choice of internship. The seriousness of our students is always well-appreciated, and is based on our Charter: Professionalism, Openness, Solidarity and Ethics.
THE MUSTS
- Appropriate to the school calendar (the student must be able to return to school on time)
- Making the most of the students’ training at the heart of the company: the students’ involvement in the company as well as the company’s involvement as regards to the students’ training and well-being
TIME DETAILS
- In 2nd year: 20 weeks – from April Internship concerning analysis and programming
- In 3rd year: 22 weeks – from April Internship concerning end-of-studies project
ADVANTAGES
- Lengths meeting the need of both businesses and engineering students
- Possibility of developing special relationships between the student and the company, increasing students’ chances of recruitment
DEDICATED SERVICES
- In partnership with SOGETI, online virtual coaching software (from Job-In-Live) is available to students in order to help them in their search for internships (and later, employment).
- All year long, companies have the possibility to come and introduce themselves to our students and teachers (professional days, business forums, job dating etc).
- The school signs ‘conventions de stage’ (a special French internship-agreement form) with companies.
- Companies holding a title ‘chaire d’entreprise’ (chairs sponsored by business enterprises) often grant internships to 3rd year students following the options concerned by the chairs (ALTI, BT, CAP GEMINI, SOGETI, SOPRA).
