Living together
EISTI Integration Weekend

To study at the EISTI is to live of a "Grande Ecole" where all school years share in activities and are linked to each other by "Sponsors and Supporters". The student groups bring together and enliven the campus life in Cergy and in Pau. For each individual student, it’s the best way of fitting in and benefitting from complete solidarity. This is where the links are forged which will last long after the EISTI Years are over.

LE BDE (The Students’ Union) – A HUGE ROLE

On each campus there are yearly elections for a new students’ union (BDE), at the end of the innovative and interesting electoral campaigns. The president of the BDE has a place on the Board of Directors at the school. The BDE has a budget provided by the school to bring to fruition their activities, and they are aided by the support of various companies and organizations. Their mission? To make the EISTI Years unforgettable for each and every one of our students. In Cergy and in Pau, the BDE forms student associations and groups. They organize days of business sponsoring, seminars, the WEI (Integration Weekend), the DZT (final-year leaving party), the yearly galas in Cergy and Pau, special parties and events (the Fintz d’Or, Back to School, Christmas party, paintball, bowling, ice-skating, poker tournaments, tours around the Pyrenees), holidays and trips in France and abroad, as well as numerous conferences. The BDE lets the students know of good deals (house/flat-shares, jobs, internships etc.), gives them (authorized!) access to previous workshop (TD) exercises and corrections, and helps them to prepare for their exams. With Solidarity being one of the four values of the EISTI’s chart, the BDE is also very involved in social and humanitarian actions: the Téléthon (like the British Comic Relief/ Children In Need), Sidaction (events and work against AIDS), blood donation, Opération Pièces Jaunes, Road Safety trophies, first-aid certificates, etc.

LE BDS (The Students’ Sports Union)

In Cergy and in Pau, the BDS (Sports Union) organizes events and sections for individuals, as well as male-only, female-only and mixed-sex teams: football, rugby, basketball, volleyball, handball, rowing, sailing, rollerblading, badminton, tennis, golf, athletics, bodybuilding and fitness, dancing, judo, karate, archery etc. The BDS brings together sporting events and university competitions: business sporting trophies, student Olympic Games, inter-school year tournaments, Spi Dauphine, EDHEC boat race, the cycling rally Pau@Cergy@Pau, EISTI Sky Contest in Pau etc. Among the members of the BDS there are fans, of course, and certainly members who are passionate about sport, but there are also some recognized champions, some of whom are taking a sports science degree.
